We here at the 1 in 8 Breast Cancer Foundation are so excited about the amazing response to our Speedster's Competition and I have been particular struck by those of you who have written me to say that you have breast cancer in your families. As I have been asked these questions a number of times, I thought I'd try to answer it for everyone involved. Yes, the characters can be edgy rather than cute. Also Speedsters is a racing team much like Speed Racer, so when it comes to clothing, KK and her male sidekick can either be clothed in racing jumpsuits or something else, but as they are both racers and marshal arts experts, they need clothing that allows them to move.

Finally, I would really appreciate it if when you send your entries in, you send them both to the DA site, but also to me directly, in the form of high res jpegs, because we want to start placing them up on our new site, which will be going live within the next few weeks. Finally, while I know that those of you who are entering the contest are doing in because you know in doing so it will help us to assist people struggling with breast cancer, there is potentially some serious money involved for the winner. We are already speaking to skate board companies, snowboard companies, wake board companies, high top sneaker companies, surf board companies, jewelry companies and clothing companies about the possibility of developing a entire Speedster line of items - even plushies and action figures. If your characters are chosen you will receive a portion of the revenue from all those items.
